NYC Physician Group Serving Underserved Asian Americans Taps Former UnitedHealth Group Executive as President
Rendr, the leading primary care-focused, multi-specialty physician group serving Asian Americans in New York City, has announced the appointment of Alex Mitchell as its President. Prior to joining Rendr, Mitchell served as a senior executive at UnitedHealth Group, one of the largest health insurance systems in the United States.
Mitchell joined Rendr in July 2024 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, he spent 15 years at UnitedHealth Group, where he co-founded Colorado Doctors Plan, a UnitedHealthcare’s regional insurance plan and served as Chief Financial Officer of OptumCare, a healthcare services company under UnitedHealth Group. Mitchell oversaw approximately $25 billion of pivotal acquisitions on behalf of UnitedHealth Group and OptumCare.
Prior to UnitedHealth Group, Alex spent approximately a decade at Ernst & Young, where he held roles within external audit and business risk services.
